I just woke up to 2 notifications on my phone.

First one said something like possible contact with a case

The next one Said don't worry no need to take action this time.

When i opened the notifications it just took me to he home page of the app. No messages and they were then obviously gone from my phone.

When I told my DH he said.. oh yeah I've had that first notification 4 or 5 times.

So he has been notified but not told to isolate.

If you need to isolate, does the app specifically say that?

I'm worried all this time he should of been isolating on these occasions and hasn't.

For what it's worth, he works on big building projects in London and is constantly eating in restaurants and using the tubes. So he has checked in to a lot of places on the app and very likely to of come into contact with cases

I had that too but it’s not clear what it means. I cynically assumed it was nothing but was sent out to retry to remind be to stay away from people. Usually why and see v limited people but had been to a shopping centre, theatre abc pub over the last couple of days

Goodness that is full of typos. Hopefully you get the gist!

I had these too. If it is a proper notification then it won't disappear when you click on the app
This explains it:

Don't worry. If all you got is that little notification icon in the to bar of your phone with a "possible contact" message which then went away, no action is needed. It just means the app is doing what it is programmed to do. It has picked up some info that means you could have been exposed (your phones records of which phones it has been near includes the code for a phone of someone who has tested positive) so the next step is that the data needs to be analyzed more fully to establish whether that contact was close enough and for long enough that you should be considered as likely to have been infected. The notification you saw is generated at that point and the analysis starts, it is just keeping you informed. If that analysis shows that your phone and the phone of the infected person were only near each other very briefly, or were actually not that close to each other, then the analysis produces a negative result - so then you got the "no need to take action" notification - i think that second one is a new addition, in the early days people just got the first one buy heard nothing back if the analysis showed nothing to worry about, but people worried anyway.

If you needed to take action the app would tell you.

If there’s nothing in the app itself then there’s nothing you need to do. It just means the app is doing what it needs to do. There’s been a fair bit of press about it and they have said they are doing something to stop these notifications, but updates seem very slow to roll out.
