AIBU to think that Covid Testing at Drive-through Centers should be done by professionals? I know this is the case in Italy and in Germany. I took DD (10) to be tested today (we are in Tier 2) and she was so nervous and kept on pulling my hand away. I only managed to swab her nose and not her tonsils. Because of her resistance, I couldn't push the swab stick very high up her nose. I would feel so much better if it had been done properly.

I was given the choice but I thought children could only be swabbed by their parent?

Yes, that's what they told me when I asked if someone could swab her instead of me.
