NHS App "possible exposure" message

AyDeeAitchDee · 19/10/2020 07:01

Woke up to a message on my Lock Screen about possible Covid exposure.

But as soon as you click it is disappears and takes you to the app and then can't see it again.

Also was another message saying I didn't need to be concerned/take any action yet.

Have any of you had the same? What came of it please?

I had the same. I read on MN it was a glitch with the app.

I had this. I thought it meant I had been close to someone who tested positive but for a short time and so don't need to isolate.

Interested to hear it may be a glitch.

It had the benefit of making me even more cautious with mask wearing, hand washing and being near anyone "at risk".

It is a glitch, I had one too and no message on the track and trace app.

I've had about five of these now. As long as they disappear when you click on them and it says nothing in the actual app, then just ignore. Ridiculous really.

Yes I’ve had a few of these. I also thought I meant I’d been somewhere where someone who has tested positive has been, but that after verifying info the app has determined that I was far enough away from them or there at a different time etc.

I've had a couple, it's a glitch. Just ignore if it's one of those disappearing ones. I was a bit 😦 when I first got one though.

Sorry to be that person, but there is a thread about this exact thing every couple of hours on Mumsnet and there's loads about it on Google.
