So I had a pop up from the nhs COVID app saying I'd had a possible exposure and they were assessing the data or something along those lines.
I've googled and apparently will get another message either saying I'm not at risk or a message saying to self isolate.
I've not received a further message.
Any idea how long it takes?

I've had several of these, starting about 10 days ago, but haven't received any follow-up messages at all. There is a notification that your phone has been in contact with a phone belonging to someone who has tested positive, but there's nothing when you open the app. There are some people on the internet saying that it's a bug, and at the moment I am inclined to believe them and not do anything until I am told to in undisputable terms.

Mine has done this every few days since I got the app. I’ve never had a follow up message, so conclude the app doesn’t work properly!

dementedpixie · 18/10/2020 18:30

As long as there is nothing in the app itself you can just ignore it

There's loads of information about this online and on threads in this topic but probably quicker to google that try to find them

dementedpixie · 18/10/2020 18:32

And yes there are a few threads about the same issue

lovealwayswins · 18/10/2020 18:34

Oh sorry.
I did google but no Mumsnet threads came up at the top so didn't realise was a common occurance.
I work in retail, so wouldn't surprise me if I had been in the vicinity of someone as we have a few hundred customers a day.
Although we are in a really low risk area.

Google says from 13th October you get a follow up message. So I'll wait and see.

It's bug in the serco app. Pls note this app is not made or endorsed by the NHS.

Ignore, you'll be contacted by NHS Track and Trace if necessary

dementedpixie · 18/10/2020 18:37

Is your app up to date as I think its an update to the app that prompts the 2nd message?
Even if you dont get the 2nd message, if there is no info within the app then you can ignore it

lovealwayswins · 18/10/2020 18:38

I've just updated it in the last few mins.
