I’ve been stressing a lot recently about Christmas. I ended a long relationship at the start of the year and have been looking forward to my first Christmas with MY family in foreverrrrr!
The more restrictions and local lockdowns there are, the more I’m worrying what we will be allowed to do come December!
I live in England and my family in Scotland. I’ve complied with absolutely everything since this all started. I spent 4 months completely alone in my own house... saw my dad once from the end of my garden. Spent my birthday on FaceTime to family and friends.

The thought of not being able to hug my mum and sister on Christmas Day is depressing.

If they do impose or continue restrictions over Christmas, how many of you would comply?!

I will comply with the rules/laws, especially over Christmas, because I feel that no-one would impose restrictions at such an important time unless strictly necessary. I am sure that, if they can, the Govt will relax restrictions for Christmas. That does depend though on people complying with rules and laws now to get the 'R' rate down to an acceptable level.

We'll be complying, we have elderly relatives who would like to see in a new year. I also think we need to do all we can to get this back to a level that we can have some semblance of normality. I know it's shit though.

I really hope you’re right!

I will be complying with whatever they decide at the time. I just hope it’s good news!

I will comply. We are in Essex so in the high tier with no household mixing, although we do have a childcare bubble with my parents.

If the rules have not changed by Christmas, we will have a lovely day at home with our two DC. Not my first choice for how to spend Christmas but not awful either and hopefully only for one year.

I have divorced parents who would be spending Christmas totally alone. They will be spending Christmas with us no matter what. It doesn't break the rule of 6 but would be three households.
