Support bubbles across tiers?

We are in a support bubble with MIL. I know that support bubbles are permitted across all tiers but is this still OK when we are in tier 1 and her area has just moved in to tier 2? What about if her area was to move in to tier 3? I can't find anything about this in the official guidance.

She is in her 70s but is fit, well and independent so does not need our physical support but lives alone. We originally 'bubbled' to help her feel less isolated and I suspect she'll want to see us more often now that the weather is getting worse and she won't be able to meet friends in her home/in cafes etc

I think bubbles will be ok still, regardless of tiers.

Yes, you can continue seeing her in your house or hers, support bubbles become one household.

Thanks- that's what I hoped. She's worrying that she read somewhere that only local bubbles would be allowed. Sounds like she needn't worry

You will however need to act like you are in the higher tier. So if she is in tier 2 and you are in tier 1, your entire extended household is in tier 2.
