Hi I earn around 200 per week self employed. Having to self isolate as child coughing. We’ve been tested this morning.

One or two days without pay (due to self isolation) is a huge loss to me.

Is there anything can do to recover this?

I receive some UC too....

Do you qualify for the 2nd grant? Self employed lone parent here too.

Oh I don’t know. Can’t really afford to be paying anything back x

You don't pay it back, it's in place of earnings. If you have been affected in any way, which you are, you can claim. Go online to government website and see if you are eligible.

Do you mean they self employed income support scheme? I thought that had finished? Plus I can’t wait months for it again.

If you already get UC then once you put your reduced income in each month then you should get a higher payment next month. Although that does little to help you this month its a crap system! If you do test positive (think it needs to be you not your son but I'm not sure) you would be eligible for the £500 isolating payment as you already get some UC.
There has been talk of another seiss payment but later in the year and at around 30% not the 80 or 70 previously given.
