Hearing loss

CNN are reporting that loss of hearing is another symptom of covid with 13% of those with a positive diagnosis reporting some amount of hearing loss although this returns for most.

I did lose my hearing in March/April after being I'll with a upper respiratory tract infection, now I'm even more convinced that I had it. I wasn't able to get a test at that time as no cough.

Anyone else experience hearing loss?

Not hearing loss but tinnitus that wakes me up during the night - so frustrating and upsetting. Pretty much constant high pitched whistling that seems to be worse when I lie down. Combined with ear pain - it sounds silly but ear lobes and the cartilage above going into the scooped part of the outer ear.

I hope your hearing is better now? We did home tests but the laboratory managed to lose both ( mine and dd’s) so no results for us (10 days after they received the tests now).

That sounds horrible. My hearing is back to normal now but for around 2 weeks I couldn't hear a thing!

Hearing doesn't seem to be a big issue here in UK. I wonder if the strain is different in US hence the different symptoms
