I've heard 2 different people say this in the past few days. What do they mean? Do people really think Coronavirus will just disappear altogether if we get the numbers low enough?

Not true, it is now endemic.

If only the media published the science and not the propaganda....

I'm far from a populist, but am struck this morning by the themes in news about

govt + most experts
vs.
the masses who are "bad" for not "complying" with the virus control measures. The "bad" are "covidiots" "immoral". People who think that Lockdown itself as a control measure will cause too many harms are "unethical".

The social harm that comes from large demographic groups losing trust in "Establishment Institutions" & perception that govt has made itself unaccountable may become massive, as bad as post WWI period in Europe.

In Britain, throw Brexit disruptions 2021 into the mix. Tinderbox.
