Help do not understand track and trace app - notification

I had a notification 20 minutes ago it was on the front of phone says
Possible exposure to covid -19 then goes on able app is measuring the exposure - something along those lines.
But when I go in to app nothing is on there ?

Could mean your phone was in the same place as somebody thats tested positive. Track and trace will call if you've been a close contact and need to isolate.

I had this the other day. Apparently there is a glitch in the track and trace app that can't be fixed at the moment. If you are near someone who has tested positive for Covid the notification will stay within the app and it will not vanish. I googled it and found a few articles about it. I was quite relieved it was a glitch but it was also worrying.

Erghh is so frustrating my daughter has only one full lung, complex heart disease and intestinal failure. Sent me in to panic !
