Tier 1 Medium

CoffeeRunner · 12/10/2020 21:19

Live in tier 1 but work in tier 2.

Devlesko · 12/10/2020 21:20

Shiny

You can form a bubble with your partner, but it's only supposes to be two single households, not sure about kids too.
If it's any consolation lot's don't abide by this rule, it's barbaric after a while.
My neighbour in his late 70's is with his girlfriend also late 70's.
Poor dd (16) came in one night and said they were so loud last night she didn't think he still had it in him. Grin

Tier 1 but university town where the most intelligent of our society (supposedly) think coughing in people's faces is the way forward- utter tossers, so expect to be in tier 2 shortly.....

Allywill · 12/10/2020 21:35

Tier 2 in a hotspot in lancs. Am relieved but aware it could change again if boris feels like it. Was worried about tier 3 as husband travels all over country for work and has to stay over due to distance and days at a time on sites, so not sure how he could have continued to work under tier 3 rules.

coastergirl · 12/10/2020 21:35

Tier 3, I'm in Sefton so part of the Liverpool city region (which I didn't know until last week).

TheMagicDeckchair · 12/10/2020 21:42

@Chickenfingers are you in Wakefield by any chance? I noticed all West Yorks is in going into tier 2 whereas Wakefield wasn’t under the old rules.

Being in tier 2 now means a slight relaxation of the rules. Just hoping we don’t tip over into 3.

IncidentsandAccidents · 12/10/2020 21:44

Tier 1 surrounded by tier 2s!

Boredsilly · 12/10/2020 21:46

Tier 1 in Bedfordshire cases are low but going up

SendHelp30 · 12/10/2020 21:47

Tier 2. Sheffield.

Eesha · 12/10/2020 21:50

I'm in Tier 1 but have a partner who doesn't live with me. I leave my children with my family when I see him. So if we enter into tier 2, I assume I can no longer see him as it would be two support bubbles?

Sunshineandflipflops · 12/10/2020 21:50

@Devlesko Thanks, I’m pretty sure the support bubble only has to be one single house hold. They can form a bubble with another household, regardless of how many people are in it (I assume up to 6). That’s how it’s been until now anyway as I know quite a few people who have had their lone elderly parents bubble up with them and their husband/kids.

Sunshineandflipflops · 12/10/2020 21:51

Unless that rule has now changed again, which wouldn’t surprise me...

AlwaysLatte · 12/10/2020 21:56

I don't know! Where do we find out?

LadyCatStark · 12/10/2020 21:56

2 in Lancashire. Just starting to hear of people actually having corona virus now so I think we’ve got a way to go yet 🙈

ZiggZagg · 12/10/2020 22:05

3 Sad

awesomeaircraft · 12/10/2020 22:12

@AlwaysLatte - The BBC (link here) and other news site now have a summary.

The gov site is supposed to launch a postcode checker but it is not live yet it seems.

Bbq1 · 12/10/2020 22:34

Liverpool.Tier 3. I still think the schools, uni's etc are driving it, so I don't know how much difference it will make. I see us going into deeper lockdown again soon tbh. No more mention of a 2 week half term which would help.

WinifredSanderson · 12/10/2020 22:44
  1. So no change really.
SoMuchToBits · 12/10/2020 22:48

1 thank goodness. In Suffolk with low numbers. Very pleased as have a week off next week and in a household on my own. Stricter measures would have seen me on my own for that week (apart from food shopping). Now I can at least see the odd friend now and again.

ilovesooty · 12/10/2020 22:52

@Sunshineandflipflops

Can I just ask those in tier 2 a question please? My partner lives in Notts, so is also tier 2. He lives alone, I live with my 2 kids an hour away. Can I still see him as his support bubble (if he’s not seeing anyone else)? I worry about him being alone as he has mental and physical health issues. I have read conflicting advice around whether support bubbles can still meet indoors as one household so hoping someone else can shed some wisdom!
If he lives alone he can bubble with you if he doesn't bubble with anyone else.
ilovesooty · 12/10/2020 22:57

Sorry I see other people have answered.

Egghead68 · 12/10/2020 22:58

1 Although we have 530 active cases per hundred thousand

AlwaysLatte · 12/10/2020 23:04

Thanks @awesomeaircraft
We're not listed on there (Kent) so still none the wiser but the Covid app says 'medium' so I'm guessing tier 2.
Rats!!!

Quaagars · 12/10/2020 23:12

Gone down to a 2 Sad
Which is shit as means can no longer meet parents indoors any more and we've been able to since June/July when it lifted out of full lockdown.
