Children coughing ...

I went to a Garden Centre this morning. All worked well - people miles apart, all wearing masks, etc. I got to the till and there was a woman in front of me with a small child. I waited behind the line until they had cleared the till when the * child turned back to face me and coughed and coughed with his mouth open. Great! Why don't parents make their kids put a hand in front of their face when coughing? Now I am going to be worried that I've caught it from him for the next 10 days.

You're upset that people aren't pandering to your ridiculous OTT behaviour. Right.

I've told my kids (6 and 10) to put their hands in front of their mouths when they cough what feels like 10000 times over the past 6 months. I reckon they do it 30% of the time.

"Support" because a child coughed near you. Hmm

‘xxx child’ OP. Hmm

You lost a lot of people there.

If you had of asked for guidance without the * bit people might have been a bit more sympathetic..

I hope you scrubbed yourself down with bleach.

I’m sorry you were worked up about this, but as someone who spends their working days in enclosed spaces with different groups of 30 or so coughing teenagers without the benefit of a mask (and most folk seem to think this is perfectly peachy), I’m not feeling particularly sympathetic about some random kid coughing once in your vague direction whilst you were wearing a mask out shopping.
