Am I right in thinking that if someone in your household has symptoms you should all isolate until you’ve been tested? Or is it only if one of you has a positive case?

All household isolates of one has symptoms, until the one with symptoms gets a negative test, or 14 days if that person is positive. The person with symptoms isolates for at least ten days.

Whole house isolates
10 days for one with symptoms
14 days for everyone else
Unless symptom-y one gets a negative test

Yes, you are right you all isolate until either you get a negative result or 14 days since symptoms started.

The whole household isolates.

The person with symptoms gets a test.

If it comes back negative the whole household is free to go back to normal.

If it comes back positive you continue to isolate.
