What do you reckon?

It has the most cases of any borough so I’m guessing tier 3.

hyglop · 11/10/2020 22:13

City 3, county 2?

coronasharona · 11/10/2020 22:14

That's what I thought but read that tier 3 was going to be for places that haven't been able to control transmission at tier 2.

I wonder where they will draw the imaginary ‘borders’ between different Tiers.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 11/10/2020 22:24

3 for the city centre and other boroughs with high rates like Broxtowe. Possibly 2 for the boroughs that are further out. Unless they choose to stick the whole county in 3.

BlackeyedSusan · 11/10/2020 22:25

city erring towards three. if the county is lucky, two.

I have just come back from a last visit to my inlaws for a while. will be gutted if we can not see them for ages. we did eat in the garden getting a bit chilly though.

coronasharona · 11/10/2020 22:32

I'm torn between feeling that the numbers suggest greater restrictions are necessary and then thinking it's really unfair to do fuck all and let the numbers climb and then clamp down so hard

BBC is suggesting at the moment that Merseyside will be the only tier 3 area.

NewShoesRub · 11/10/2020 22:34

The only thing that makes me think it could possibly be a 2 rather than a 3 is that it has only recently jumped in numbers, whereas some of the other comparable places have been high for some weeks.

Tangledyarn · 11/10/2020 22:46

Am wondering the same thing about Sheffield. Like Nottingham no local restrictions but a huge increase in cases in the last few weeks.

MummaPI · 11/10/2020 22:46

What are the figures for each tier please? Per 100,000 i mean

NewShoesRub · 11/10/2020 22:50

@MummaPI they haven't said as yet. One article I read said it may not be as straight forward as once an area reaches a threshold it moves into a different tier. There are other factors. Who knows!

MummaPI · 11/10/2020 22:50

Thanks! Will wait to see...
