Testing 9 month old

My 9 month old developed a very mild cough yesterday afternoon.
Fine in himself, no temp but started with a streaming nose this afternoon so am 99.9% certain its a cold.
Alas we will still need a test 🙄

Has anyone managed a self test on a baby so small?
Im not holding out much hope for an adequate sample!
Was thinking keeping him in the car seat may prevent too much wriggling?

My husbands work does free testing for workers/family members with symptoms so will be able to get it done tomorrow

I wouldn't test a 9 month old who I thought had a cold.

When we took my 9 month okd we were not allowed out the car, it was too hard in the car seat so i managed to grab her and my partner held her and i did the swab nasally. It was a right faff!
