Children isolating

My two children have been in self isolation since the start of last week due to their teacher testing positive for coronavirus. It's been really hard because they are fulll of energy and I have also been trying to work from home

LAst night I went to a local superstore supermarket. It was 6pm so it was busy.

As I was walking round I saw one of the kids class friends. With her mum dad and siblings. None of whom were wearing masks

When she saw me she grabbed the kids and walked off (checkouts)

Am I missing something i thought that isolation meant the children couldn't leave the house at all

No you aren’t missing anything. The isolating child(ren) should only leave the house if they need to go to a Covid test site.
DS (Rec) has been in isolation since Tuesday. It is hard work!

Why are people so stupid, firstly there was no need to take the children shopping if her husband was with her and secondly, unless they are exempt from wearing masks it’s madness, she was obviously feeling guilty when she saw you I would be tempted to contact her and ask if the rules had changed as her children were out and that you understood that children have to stay in while in isolation.
