Do I need to isolate?

I'm in a non high risk area in the South. Last weekend my friend (from the same area) came to stay for the Saturday night and we went for dinner.

She was contacted yesterday and told to isolate for 9 days. She was not told when or where she came into contact with someone who has now tested positive. Working backwards (assuming isolation is 14 days) it is possible she came into contact with this person on the Saturday. She went for breakfast with a friend on Saturday morning prior coming to my house. This friend has not tested positive nor told to isolate. She also went for a dog walk on Sunday.

We both scanned the track and trace barcode at dinner but I have not been contacted to say I must isolate. I feel fine in myself, completely normal.

My question is; do I need to self isolate even though I've not been contacted to do so?

No.

She has no symptoms nor has she tested positive

No. You yourself have not been in any contact with someone who has tested positive.
