What is going on with this guy? If he has a supposedly mild case, why have they given him Dexamethasone? Dexamethasone suppresses the immune system and so would do more harm than good in somebody with supposedly mild covid19. If the infection is mild then you NEED your immune system to kick in to fight it off. People in ICU are given the drug because their immune system has gone into overdrive, so a completely different scenario.

Did he demand they give him the drug because he heard it's good for covid and the doctor's just gave it to him, or what?! He says he took Hydroxychloroquine prophylacticly, which is also really weird, so you can obviously get whatever drugs you want in America

The press is discussing the strangeness of his treatments a lot here in the States. We don't understand it either. Unfortunately the staff around the president is beholden to him and won't say what's really going on but it's obvious that what they are saying doesn't add up.
If we rely on the reported treatments to inform us then we come to the conclusion that his case is far from mild. So then you wonder why he's forced himself out of the hospital and isn't resting as he should be. Which brings us to the conclusion that he may cause avoidable harm to himself, just as his words and actions have caused so much harm to others.
Such an ignorant, stubborn man.

I agree @SouthJersey. If he's ill enough to be given Dexamethasone I don't understand how he's running around doing photo ops.

I don't think the treatments correspond remotely with how sick he was.
Those are the only treatments known to work, plus the experimental potions, and as Prez they rushed to give him everything going.

There is low chance any of the early treatment will guarantee he can't get sicker later.

It's funny how George Conway is tweeting he has to go out at night to get his wife ibuprofen for her illness. She isn't getting all the treatment POTUS got.

But lljkk if he's not majorly ill, the Dexamethasone can make him more ill. Seems mind boggling to throw everything at him- even inappropriate drugs. Seems being prez means you get whatever you want, not what is best care

I think they’re lying about the timeline & how ill he was.

It would explain the drug combination, why he was transferred and how two separate events at the WH last weekend seem to be superspreader events.

Some of the comments from the WR doctors have been quite carefully worded.

It's quite normal in American health care that patients tell their doctors what drugs they (patients expect). Remember there is lots and lots of direct advertising of drugs to patients (and Trump watches a lot of telly where the advertising happens). I'm not saying this is right. I expect it's common everywhere in world for rich people to tell their doctors what drugs they should have. Hence people newly immigrated to UK demand antibiotics and are confused when told no.
