What time to try again for drive through tests

What time does the NHS site renew the option to get drive through tests ?

My DD has been sent home with a fever of 38.1. I can get a postal one but I'm a key worker and if I don't go to work on Friday the child I work with with ASD won't be able to attend. Not to mention my eldest is devastated that she's missing school.

Obviously we will isolate but if someone could tell me the time they renew on the site I am going to try as hard as is humanly possible to get a drive through test to speed this up;

Thanks

Sorry I don't know what time they release more and haven't noticed a pattern, but I have found (twice now, for my Husband and I) that by just keep checking it (I just kept refreshing the page every 10 mins or so) they do pop up before too long. The first time initially was only showing tests miles away, was worried we'd be in for a drive, but kept refreshing and local ones popped up no issue. I hope it doesn't take you too long to sort! Fyi I tried from around 8am and it wasn't too much of a wait.

Thanks! As it goes I've just got one. They appeared at some point between 5.45 and 6pm. Now fingers crossed I actually get a result because I had enough trouble swabbing my 5 year old....a very feisty 2 year old is going to be another matter!!

Ah good. My test from Monday came back in under 28 hours, so fingers crossed. Good luck swabbing 2yo....I have a 21mo and I'm not even going to try...hard enough getting a toothbrush in his mouth!!

Yeh but I suppose at least if I try and fail then I know there was nothing more I could have done. I really do need to go to work , if not on Friday definitely on Monday as I'm teaching all next week (I happen to be off Tues Weds Thurs anyway this week). ... So I do have to try!

Luckily for us (I suppose) we are all isolating anyway and I'm a SAHM now so nowhere to be. We did think about it and some silly thoughts same to mind like using those mouth things from that game Speak Out to some kind of home fashioned strait jacket HmmGrin
Ultimately we decided not worth the anguish since we'd be staying in anyway. I really hope you don't have too much trouble and like you say, at least you'll know you tried! Maybe one of the people at the test centre will have a few techniques up their sleeves! Be interested to know how you get on actually, in case we do find the need to try it next time someone gets a cough..!!
