What the hell is this? Received one through my door this morning from the City Council. Just says 'we attempted to visit but you weren't home , blah blah, if you have any symptoms please book or order a test asap on 119'. That is the NHS number for getting a test, we don't have any symptoms. There is nobody to actually talk to.

Anyone had one, or know what prompted this? As a form of communication it stinks. Is it just to let us know there are cases in the area, or what? How worried do I have to be?

Call your local council to confirm it’s from them.

OK finally managed to get through on the phone to the council. Apparently, they are just working their way through the city offering tests at the door if needed. Nothing personal and not saying there are cases in my street etc.

(Why didn't they say that on the note then???)
