Just wondered on how quickly you received yours and how long the result back took?
Do they simply go in the post box?

Ordered one Thursday. It arrived Friday 4pm ish. Put into post box by 4.30 for last post at 5.30 on Friday. Got results Sunday morning 6.30am (this morning)

Received next day, you have to put in a priority post box, you can find a list on your confirmation email and what time ish to do the test and get it in the box, results took 2 days

icelollycraving · 04/10/2020 18:17

Thanks. I don’t drive which is why I ordered it. There are a few post boxes near me, I’d assume priority ones are in the next town.

Thanks. One looks to be in walking distance. I thought (not sure why) they came via amazon.

They do come via Amazon. I ordered one yesterday and it arrived today (in Amazon packaging).

eurochick · 04/10/2020 18:47

The email you get when you book a home test tells you where the priority post boxes are near you.

On timing we ordered Wednesday lunchtime, received Thursday evening (after posting time so couldn't do the test until the next day), tested and posted Friday, got result Monday afternoon.

icelollycraving · 05/10/2020 17:58

No test arrived. I’ve had an email reminding me to return it!

Silly question but how are you supposed to post it if you're isolating? Not everyone has someone to go to the postbox for them.

I drove to ours and wore a mask while out of the the car. You can organise a courier collection by 119 but you'd have to go out too for a drive through/walk through test.
PinkSparklyPussyCat · 05/10/2020 19:22

I checked and my nearest post box is a minutes walk so there'd be no point in driving! I'd probably walk wearing a mask and keep my distance.

icelollycraving · 05/10/2020 19:36

Mine nearest postbox with this service is only a 5 min walk. If it had come

BlackLambAndGreyFalcoln · 05/10/2020 19:41

You are allowed to walk to the post box if self isolating.

Postal test never arrived. Dh was back from a business trip late Monday, we all have a cough and he’s lost taste. We all got a test at a drive in one today (he’s the driver).
