One minute he is fever free after his diagnosis 36hrs ago and now his vitals are very concerning, received oxygen at WH, next 24hrs critical..... 72hrs since his diagnosis......... Knew it would turn into a farce 🤦‍♀️

Are those versions all from official sources?

MarshaBradyo · 03/10/2020 18:40

R4 - was slight fever and cough then doing ok

MyShinyWhiteTeeth · 03/10/2020 18:46

I think it's telling that so many believe it's fake news. Hardly anyone takes anything he or his supporters say at face value.

MrsWarleggan · 03/10/2020 18:55

@RoseAndRose

Jon Sopel, BBC. WH sources. For some reason I can't copy the link as its on the constant update part of the site.

BBC says it’s considered to be a reliable source.

TheQueef · 03/10/2020 18:58

If his age and the virus don't take him the drugs will.
Crazy times.

ohthegoats · 03/10/2020 18:59

It's all nonsense. Timeline doesn't look good though. I'd like him alive and in prison, so good luck to him with covid.

Time line does not look good in the slightest. Agreed @ohthegoats

In addition to everything else - I wonder if he could be prosecuted for knowingly infecting people?

If trump did in fact test positive on Wednesday that is massive news.

Dr Conley spoke really badly I thought, not clear at all. And I suspect he’s going to get in trouble for some of those revelations! I was also interested to note he is apparently not a dr of medicine but a dr of osteopathy....

picklemewalnuts · 03/10/2020 19:07

Goats that is really shocking! What a triumph of ideology over facts. Sad

Jrobhatch29 · 03/10/2020 19:12

@ohthegoats wow that time line is shocking. What part do you mean is nonsense?

Bizarrely in American a Doctor of osteopathy and a medical doctor are one and the same. They both do residencies and are both qualified to work in hospitals. Osteopaths are less likely to get surgical residencies etc but it's not unheard of.

I don't understand it really.

MarcelineMissouri · 03/10/2020 19:46

@DivGirl are they the same though? Because I noticed on their jackets the other drs had MD stitched on and Conley had DO instead.

scaevola · 04/10/2020 05:15

Osteopaths have a full licence to practice in US, don't they? And presumably he's head of a team, rather than the one most hands on with everything.

BBC update this morning:

www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2020-54405734

Though he couid just be grandstanding over minor symptoms, I think Trump might have some adverse symptoms which is why he's talking on about the next couple of days being the test. I don't think he unmixed the messages

The sort of symptoms I'm thinking about are low SATS, abnormal lung CT and high inflammation (all of which are common in hospitalised patients)

astraeas108 · 04/10/2020 05:31

Hey,

American here,
In regard to MD vs OD they are held to the same Code and rules and are seen as equals. My OB doctor was OD and the other physician is the office was MD.

As for Trump, as soon as I heard that he tested positive for COVID-19, I knew it would be a cascade of drama, lies, and manipulation to follow despite the degree of whatever symptoms accompany his trial with the disease. It's convenient how close it has happened to election time here. He is receiving A LOT of sympathy here. Of course, there are people who despise him as our president openly saying they hope he becomes extremely ill, some even hoping for death. This in return has lead to even more heated rivalry among the two top contending political parties. It is a mess to say the least.
