Can you work in 2 schools?

I am currently working in a school and have been offered another part time job at another school. Two people have said I should not be working in 2 schools. Does anyone know if this correct? I don't see how this is any different when people go to multiple pubs, supermarkets and restaurants in a week. The only other place I visit is one supermarket as I am quite reclusive at the moment.

Not true. We have people working in two or more schools within our MAT.

Supply teachers can also work in different schools.

I think that’s fine. Supply teachers and peripatetic staff are going in and out of different schools. The DfE guidance says that’s fine.

I know there is a member of staff in our school who is also working at the school in the next village.

Supply teachers can work in lots of schools. Our music and PE teachers also work across several.

Yes you can but I know some heads might be reluctant. But as you say they can’t control where their own teachers go when not at school.
