App vs NHS website guidance

So friend receives App notification to self isolate due to recent contact with confirmed positive person. Friend develops temperature ( probably due to existing cold) but in line with advice gets a test. Test negative. App now says period of isolating is over but website said continue self isolating for 24 days from contact.
Which is right?!!

I think website (though 14 days not 24; presumably a typo).

If so it's bad the App clears down after the test!

I guess the app must have "got confused" over whether she was testing as someone who'd developed symptoms or because she was a close contact? Something to do with how she requested the test maybe?
