ONS Covid test study

Hi,
I know I saw a thread about this a couple of weeks ago but I can’t find it now.
I have had a letter from the government about taking part in the national statistics covid study, they come do a test at your house and then a further 15 follow up tests for a year.....
Has anyone done this? They give you a £50 voucher the first time and then £25 for each test after, I’m happy to do it, my 11 year old son said no until he heard about the vouchers 😂

Here's a thread, and another poster has started one this morning too:

ONS study invite? Anyone else doing this? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4020632-ONS-study-invite-Anyone-else-doing-this

Just search MN under "ONS".

We are doing this. We are waiting for our week 5 appointment. The last couple of weeks it's been less well organised imo, at least that's been our experience. The tests themselves are straightforward if not the most pleasant way to spend 2 minutes, and all results are sent to GP. The kids are loving the vouchers.
It's been really reassuring to me with out weekly tests spanning the return to school and college. I kind of wish we could keep having them!

*with our weekly tests

Not "without...."

Thank! Will check out that other thread..... that’s what I thought, it will be good to know we don’t have it without constantly analyzing every sneeze or cough!

Disappointed that ONS didn't mean one night stand in this case.
