Track and trace in restaurants

Hi, I’ve tried looking online and can’t see an answer. I have an event coming up in 2 weeks. Reading about track and trace it says they are interested in the contact details of people you have seen 2 days before symptoms started and since. They are also obviously interested in places you have visited too. Does anyone have first hand experience of whether they just want to hear about places you’ve been 2 days prior to showing symptoms? What I want to know is can I go out somewhere this weekend then know if we don’t get contacted by track and trace in the following week are we ok? Sorry. Not sure if it makes sense!thanks

Yes it's the 48 hours before symptoms appear that are the crucial ones, that therefore count for track and trace.
