Another Halloween one

I was going to try to make a bit of a thing of Halloween this year, nothing ott, just a few decorations, a Halloween film, make Halloween themed cakes, carve a pumpkin as usual but won't put it out.

We usually just carve a pumpkin and wait in for trick or treaters, then my dc eat the leftover sweets but that won't be happening this year. My 5yo is going on none stop about Halloween.

I wanted to do a little gift bag for my dc with some Halloween themed things, only a few cheap bits like you might put in a stocking or party bag, so far all I've got is a book and some bath slime.

Any ideas what else could go in?

My DC is excited too - I'm not sure where this is coming from as weve never been trick or treating and only last year did we carve a pumpkin.

Today we are going to make some decorations from things on pinterest and closer to the day, I'll carve the pumpkin and we can make cupcakes with Halloween decorations on.

I'm also going to print out a treasure hunt with clues around the house as to where the treats are. Itll be pictures as hes only in reception but I think itll make a good alternative to trick or treating. We wont be answering the door this year as it's too risky.

Other than that, I'll check back and see what others suggest.

Do they have Halloween pinatas? Might be a fun idea perhaps

We're doing a Halloween hunt like an easter hunt. With spooky clues and a little treat at each clue.
Then at the end I'm making spider lolly pops a Halloween sticker book and popcorn etc. We're doing a few days early when dsd here as she's not here for the actual Halloween day and nor is ds they then have the whole of the week to enjoy their stuff.
