My son stays at his dads 2 nights a week.
What happens if my son tests positive and he's at his dads? Surely he would come home. Can he still see both parents? I would absolutely die if he was positive and he couldn't come home for me to look after him.

Me and my eldest twos dad have said from the beginning, if they start to show symptoms they stay with that parent until they get a negative test. If the test is positive, they would remain put for the isolation period. Contact would remain through FaceTime.

It’s up to you and your child’s father to decide between you what will happen.

It's up to you. I'm in the same situation. If DS tests positive while he's at his dad's he will still come home to me.

We decided at the start if necessary the child would stay where they are i.e. if they got ill at Dad's then they'd stay there and conversely if we got ill while they were away, they'd stay to keep them out of harm's way.... but older child.
