How long have you self isolated for?

I received an email telling me that ds1 needs to self isolate until Tuesday from his tuition centre. Someone at his tuition centre tested positive. Luckily so far he has not had any symptoms but is that not late? How long does it take on average to be contacted and told to self isolate?

I’m just finishing 14 days quarantine. I was with Covid positive person on the Sunday they had a test and by Monday evening I was contacted and went into isolation. I didn’t get symptoms, but could still be a carrier.
It’s been tough, but at least didn’t spread it to anyone.
