False negative?

DD has recently tested positive but appeared to have just a classic cold.

The week before I tested negative but had classic Covid symptoms.

I’m convinced mine was a false negative.

Anyone had similar?

PS if anyone else says you don’t get sore throat, runny nose and sneezing with Covid, they’re lying!!

Hi yeah a couple of my colleagues!

They had been working close together (one was the other mentor) for a week end of March, they both started to feel ill.
Covid symptoms!
Both working on a covid ward at the time.
Both got tested.
One was positive
The other was negative!!
How can that be?

I know someone back in March/April who had it but get a false negative on testing

If the person doing the test dnt do it properly you will get a false negative

Seems I’m not alone! I do wonder if I swabbed too gently..

I'm quite sure I had a false negative last weekend. I had a really bad cold, a temp, awful cough, chest infection, sore throat and I lost my taste. Was up and down for days and when I thought I was getting better I'd wake up the next day with a tight chest again. I've had two swabs in the last month and the first one was way more thorough than the one I had last weekend, not a pleasant test but I'd rather it be done correctly.
