Feel wheezy then cough

After each time I've managed to wear a mask ( exempt for mh reasons but I always try)
But after every use. And it's probably coincidence but I feel wheezy.
I'm not asthmatic or anything.
Like I can't get a full breath and when I breath in hard I cough.. Its an annoying cough.
Never had it before

Yet if I haven't worn one I'm fine. As I say it's prob in my head. But just won't one now at the shop for about 5 mins. And now I'm the same again

Have you tried different types? Cloth ones etc?

My boss can't wear any as they aggravate her asthma, which is unfortunate as we work in Healthcare. She wears a visor and avoids the public!

I have a similar problem in that I cough when I wear a mask. I've tried different sorts but they're all the same

It's rare I manage to mentally wear one tbh. But yes tried allsorts. The absolute worst Is the disposable ones. I always keep a pack in the car just incase anyone forgets one and I've used a couple of times.
The ones I've found OK are the kids cotton ones from asda, I clearly have a small head or face for them to fit they seem OK. But I always cough with them on which I know is anxiety related but it's after. Even now I'm wheeze cough wheeze cough. It will last an hour or so.
