Local lockdown and horse riding

Judging by the local news, our area is about to go into local lockdown. Is this likely to affect/ stop me riding? We don't have an arena, spend as Mum won't let me ride out alone, I tend to ride with one of two others. Heather is 22 now, and I really don't want to have to keep stopping and starting work with her, as I'm sure that that isn't good for horses.

Depends on the rules of the lockdown. If they say no mixing households, even outdoors, then I would think hacking out together as a group would be prohibited. If only indoors is prohibited you are probably ok. If the prohibition extends to private land (probably worded as gardens etc) then I guess it depends where you ride and on whose land.

Could you ride in a corner of your field if you don’t have an arena - though with autumn coming that’s going to get boggy very fast. Could you agree a route you can ride alone? Or agree a route and each set off at ten minute intervals so if something did happen you’d be “found” very quickly?
