I can't believe what I've read this morning.

It's taking the absolute mick and really is a one rule for us, another rule for them.

Overtaken by events - alcohol will not be served after 10pm, but workplace canteens can remain open (they do work strange hours there)

It's literally just changed. It was a minor oversight, they haven't served after 10pm since the change anyway.

A convenient oversight it seems, but at least it's changed now.

Not sure why they can't bring a packed lunch of working at that time like normal late night workers would.

Can you really not find anything else to moan about, other than MPs don’t have to take a packed lunch for late night working? They are not shift workers, they won’t just have clocked in at 8pm.
BatShite · 28/09/2020 14:32

Haha, convenient eh? Grin

Chickenfingers · 28/09/2020 15:23

I'm entitled to moan when they're not the only people that have worked late, they're not that special. Even pre-covid there are a majority of work places that done serve hot food after 5pm but still have workers unexpectedly work late.

I think parliament should serve food. They work ridiculous hours and never know what time they'll get finished. Obviously would have been ridiculous to serve alcohol, in light of national curfew.

You’re right. Would be much better for them to get a Deliveroo instead.
