How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

I have become slightly obsessed about checking the figures in my area each day. We have 7 per 100,000 which I think is pretty low. What are the numbers where you live?

Such huge variations. We are on the way up unfortunately - 7 when I posted a week ago to 18 today.

Still at 3.

whiteonesugar · 03/10/2020 18:26

9, it’s come down a lot since last week!

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 04/10/2020 11:04

59, up from 47 the previous week.

Cusano34 · 04/10/2020 11:17

15 down from 28 last week apparently

Tomatoesneedtoripen · 04/10/2020 11:18

@Charleyhorses

8 east Sussex. But up from 5 last week and one secondary school has closed for 2 weeks. It's a desert for higher education though.
that is a good point
FourTeaFallOut · 05/10/2020 09:29

132 cases/ 100k, still no further restrictions.

Itsabeautifuldayheyhey · 05/10/2020 12:06

110 so going down.

6 miles away in the next county, the death rate from Coronavirus is 117.1 per 100,000 rate, the 6th highest in the country, yet the infection rate isn't going up as it is in the rest of the country. The infection rate was 34 per 100,000 for the last week in September.

Either it has a disproportionate amount of vulnerable people or a disproportionate level of elderly or the health services provided are below par. (It is served by 2 hospitals who have both been deemed inadequate in the fairly recent past).

Itsabeautifuldayheyhey · 05/10/2020 12:08

With the recent "glitch" are we looking at incorrect infection rates on the BBC and Covid Messenger websites anyway?

Egghead68 · 05/10/2020 12:11

Now 376 per 100,000 (Zoe app, in London)

PickAChew · 05/10/2020 13:10

142 in Co Durham, now the 400 cases that were missed have been added in. 400 in Newcastle.

as of today 487 per 100,000.
I don't know anyone currently who has tested positive, sure it's just a matter of time

ChasingRainbows19 · 05/10/2020 14:03

Around 200 I think maybe higher actually but I’m in GM where we’ve been in local ‘Lockdowns’ for months now and it continues to rise... hospital admissions are increasing slowly as are the deaths unfortunately. But at least manageable currently.

People are still mixing in homes and restaurants etc. It’s so obvious how it’s spreads but so many don’t want to know as they are ‘bored of it all now’

I watched our rate increase week on week a month or so ago, it happens really quickly to go from under 20 to over 100.

AyDeeAitchDee · 05/10/2020 14:59

Has doubled here now to 22 (South East)

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 05/10/2020 15:27

Gone up to 88 per 100,000 from 59 (47 the week before), definitely going in the wrong direction.

daytripper28 · 05/10/2020 16:15

862 per 100,000 - lancaster

Doingitaloneandproud · 05/10/2020 16:32

51 per 100,000 - London (Outer)

Ginogineli · 05/10/2020 19:08

This thread only works I’d all using same bbc link

Lancaster is only 143/ 100 000 for example of the 7 day average

Liverpool is now 487/ 100000

Manchester 529/100 000

Newcastle 435
Etc
