How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

I have become slightly obsessed about checking the figures in my area each day. We have 7 per 100,000 which I think is pretty low. What are the numbers where you live?

The Zoe app estimates that my area is at 469/ 100k, I don't look at that one very often. 😬

yumscrumfatbum · 30/09/2020 16:48

In my state (US) this is their statistics of today since the beginning

How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

Our county has gone from 9 to about 20 in a week. As it's Wales, give it a few more days and we'll be lockdown 🙄

27 here, up from 10 last week. I’m very surprised it’s not higher, seeing some of the numbers in other areas, considering I live in a town full of arseholes who cbarsed to wear a mask and think social distancing doesn’t apply to them Hmm.

But isn't it deaths/hospital admissions that is the lost important not someone thst has a sniffle

It depends on your viewpoint .

I like to be aware of the level of infection within the community

shinynewapple2020 · 30/09/2020 20:33

Ours was around 45 per 100,000 when I looked the other day

Has been going up gradually the last few weeks.

shinynewapple2020 · 30/09/2020 20:36

@Threeisnotacrowd

Jeez people.

These numbers mean NOTHING until everywhere has the same standard and static testing regimes. That’s a million miles away from happening

Chill out

Can't see anyone needs to chill here .

The thread is simply asking numbers

Like a thread which asks how many children posters have or what they had for dinner

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 30/09/2020 20:41

Surely it would make more sense to say

"12% of all tests taken this week were positive, the total testing positive this week was 200"

That sort of thing.

Dementedswan · 30/09/2020 21:30

13% of Northumberland cases today were in a small 1 mile radius of my house from figures realised today by our local council ward.

blueberrypie0112 · 30/09/2020 21:46

135 per 100k in town

blueberrypie0112 · 30/09/2020 21:48

@blueberrypie0112

135 per 100k in town
135 in my town (in the state of Virginia/U.S.)
IHateCoronavirus · 30/09/2020 21:51

212 in my area Sad

Dementedswan · 30/09/2020 21:57

139 per 100,000 in northumberland in my local town we have 130,000 people split into two council wards and my local council has said we have 13% of today's cases... not good.

SquishyFishy · 02/10/2020 12:43

Ours has gone down to 5 per 100k.

ShivD · 02/10/2020 14:28

Ours has doubled since I posted last week, now 34 per 100,000.

91 and no sign that we intend to ask for any further restrictions. I don't know if we are playing a daring game of chicken or if the intention is to never jump off the track.
