Anyone done Covid testing privately?

Been looking at getting some private test kits, none of us has symptoms right now but we had such a wait for our last test when DS had a cough, and were off work for ages, which ends up being more costly than a private test would have been. But turnaround time seems to be 2 or 3 days from when the lab receives your sample so no quicker than the NHS really (although I guess if you ordered the test in already you wouldn’t have the delay of finding a test in the first place). Has anyone tested privately and had a good experience?

We used Summerfield. Results were available the day after we posted the tests back.

We're thinking of doing this in work. Make you that the test you get has a CE mark. Also, check the expiry date - I have seen some that last for 6 months but others that have to be used within 30 days. Not quite sure what the difference is.

They're mostly in the region of £150 per test.

If we have symptoms we can get tested at work - results back in 90 minutes.
