Track & Trace app: How do you log private test results on app?

Does anyone know how to log a Covid test result which was done privately on the test and trace app? You seem to need a NHS code to log your test result which I don't have.

I obviously tried to get a NHS test but that was impossible so had to pay for one in the end. Luckily it was negative so I only have to put up with the annoying notification to self isolate because I can't log my test result. But what if someone tests positive privately - can they also not log the results on the app? Or maybe I just haven't found the way to do it?

You can't, I saw an answer from the app team on twitter. Seems a real gap.

Just ridiculous really. Can't believe it's taken this long and it doesn't even cover most testing pillars!
