What's the Risk?

Could anyone help me work out the risk here, I'm feeling anxious.

DP had prolonged, close contact with a relative on Tuesday. He visited here on Weds, but didn't stay over.

On Thursday news came that relative has been in contact with a confirmed case. Assuming test results came thru on Tues / Weds so contact end of previous week.

Obviously the relative was bang in the middle of the contagious period, although has no symptoms. But if relative was infectious, and had passed it to DP on Tues, could he have been infectious as early as the next day?

I think it takes 2_14 days to incubate hence the 14 day quarantine? My son was in contact with someone in his bubble who tested positive and had to self isolate for 14 days ,he's due back on Tuesday the 29th ,no symptoms thankfully

About 4% IIRC.

Thank you I had 2 days + in my mind from somewhere.

DP and I have chosen not to see each other for a bit to be on the safe side anyway, just waiting to see if he or anyone else in family develops symptoms now.

Not a huge risk and he won't need to isolate unless his relative shows symptoms. I wouldn't worry at the moment, honestly :).

Thanks Smile

Most of my anxiety is about DP - he is a downgraded shielder and has been so cautious. In my panic about him, I couldn't work out the risk to me.

I believe I had it anyway during the peak and was pretty ill for a month so I know that reduces the risk even more, it's just all got a bit much today Confused
