So we’re in Scotland and my sister really needs help to watch her kids during the school October week - I think I can watch them - being in Scotland the weather will probably be miserable so it will be indoors (I’d probably go to hers so they have their own toys) Dh says this is not allowed under Covid restrictions and it’s. Amusing a fair bit of friction between us but also my sister is getting annoyed because she thinks I’m going to pull out and leave her in the lurch (her ex is refusing to take the children - yes he’s an ae)

There is a specific exemption for childcare so it's fine for you to do it.

From gov.scot

"You can go into someone’s house to provide essential care and support such as childcare"

I think you can under informal childcare rules

BuffaloCauliflower · 25/09/2020 07:31

Childcare is exempt

In England I believe it’s fine to go to work but not for non Essen reasons.
