Covid test for DD 15?

Hi,
My DD has had a sore throat since Friday and this afternoon she returned home from school with a temperature of 37.6. She has no other symptoms.
I'm uncertain whether this is enough for her to need a Covid test + self isolate from school (2 weeks, or until negative result). She says she feels alright, so no headache or fatigue.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

No.
A sore throat isn't a symptom and 37.6 isn't a temperature.

I would keep her off tomorrow and see how she is at the weekend. Lots of sore throats going around. But you cannot dismiss it may son had low grade fever and sore throat an had Covid.

From the NHS website:

"a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)"

Different types of thermometer have different normal ranges, as do people of different ages, so a reading of 37.6C can mean different things depending on the person and the method it's taken. Which is why the NHS recommends the above method for assessing if someone has a significant fever that needs acting on.
A sore throat is definitely a symptom but is very unlikely to be covid unless accompanied by a fever (not just a slightly raised temperature) so I think it would be ok to assume it's just a cold for now but keep an eye out for other symptoms.

Thanks for your replies. She feels well enough for school so I won't keep her off for now, but I'll definitely keep a close eye on the situation.

High temp for Covid purposes according the NHS is over 37.8. When booking a test it will ask you if you have any of the three main symptoms. She doesn't. So no, you don't test.
