Covid rash anyone?

Hi, I'm having a swab tomorrow, but wanted to ask if anyone's experienced an all over allergicy, red, blotchy, hot rash as part of covid infection. It looks like urticaria, slightly raised and bumpy. Warm to touch. Limbs and chest back most affected.

I got home from work yesterday, felt unwell, tired, bad headache, shivery cold, nausea and mild diarhorrea. Temp 37.5. Took paracetamol and went to bed. Rough night with hot and cold sweats. No temp today and no resp symptoms. Phoned work and test arranged... Im a nurse.

Had a shower this morning and noticed the rash... Everywhere... and not altered or changed all day. Have carried on with paracetamol and taken Piriton. No change.

Anyone heard of this possible covid related? I don't feel unwell now and rash primary issue.

I had something similar but it didn't itch or burn. My skin was so rough it felt like sandpaper and DS complained after he touched my legs and said that I scratched him. I also had two black blisters appear on my toes which fell off like a scab. It was all very peculiar.

I came out in a similar rash all over my arms and back and was asked to test through the Zoe covid symptom tracker app. It was negative, however my rash only lasted a few hours and I did not have any other symptoms of feeling unwell. There does seem to be evidence of a rash becoming a recognised symptom. Hope you feel better soon.

I had this along with a dry and extremely persistent cough, body aches and fatigue back in March, wasn't tested as not bad enough for hospital.

My friend's newborn baby had a rash following a high temperature. She eas confirmed to have Covid at A and E when she was taken in with the high fever but the rash came a couple of weeks later. No other symptoms.

In July I had a rash that started on my arms and spread over my entire body, excluding my face. By about day 7 I felt unwell - headache, shivery (but temp normal) , totally exhausted, no apetite, nausea. I had a test which was negative, but this was about 7 - 10 days after rash started (as I didnt initially connect rash with the possibility of covid) . Rash lasted another 2-3 weeks and I gradually felt better. I was off work for 10 days though, and GP siad it was a "viral rash" so who knows! Hope you feel better soon OP.

Thanks for your experiences folk.

Just updating as swab result back (30 hours so nice and quick) and negativeSmile. Rash disappeared after 48 hours too. Feeling fine.

Happy days.
