Hi all

I worked from home at beginning at pandemic for 2 months then went back but told them I was pregnant after 2 weeks and have been in the office since. Yesterday I took myself home to work from home..not sure if they are happy bout it but surely if I did last time I should now as on vulnerable list?

Just looking for knowledge opinions etc... I am 25 weeks.

The guidelines for pregnancy were updated and now say vulnerable in the third trimester and to work from home if possible at that time. Your work should do a risk assessment for you. Is it possible to work from home without impact to the business? You should talk to them about it rather than just taking yourself home though, they don’t have to let you and you won’t paint yourself in a good light if you don’t ask them first.

oh no I did speak to them not in an official way as its only a few of us and not really like that...just said I should be at home if the advise is to work from home...they agreed and told me to go straight away but am not sure if they are happy about it if you know what I mean? The may think am being dramatic asking . I am 25 weeks now and told them when 12 weeks a risk assesment hasnt been done

Well if they told you to go home then that’s fine. Maybe call your manager to talk it through, ask what they would like you to do going forward.

I think you made the right call. I would try and remain working from home for the rest of your pregnancy if you can. I’m 30 weeks and have been wfh throughout. Although risks to pregnant women are minimal they do go up in the third trimester. Plus it’s still a new virus so can’t be totally sure of level of risk.
