yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2020/09/23/brits-support-new-lockdown-rules-many-think-they-d

Overall, 78% of Brits support the Prime Minister’s announcement, including 44% who “strongly” support the new measures. Just 17% are opposed to the new lockdown amendments.

Although there is strong support for the new rules, Britons tend to want to go further still. Approaching half (45%) of Brits say the changes do not go far enough, compared to only a third (32%) who say they about right. Just one in eight (13%) think they are too restrictive.

I keep reading threads on here along the lines of "My family are at war with me because I refuse to go to a family party/break the law" or trawl through social media and think it's all just Covidiots and everybody thinks the rules don't apply to them. However, this poll does suggest the vast majority of people are still taking this thing seriously. We're not alone.

Those figures don’t say anything about whether people are following the rules themselves.

Plus Over 1 in 5 don’t even support the Rules in the first place according to those figures.

Not sure where the random caps came from there sorry.
