I know that you can only meet 6 people from your extended household inside - does that include pubs/restaurants etc. What if you are sitting outside?

I think a lot of restaurants and pubs have a limit on how many people can sit on each table. Regardless of indoor or outdoors.

So I guess you would have to split the group if there is more than 6?

Sorry I meant does the 6 people all have to be family or can it be friends from other households. Didn’t make that clear. I know it’s a max of 6 regardless but not sure if in resturants you can meet people not in your extended household in wales

In our lockdown area (Caerphilly) you can only sit indoors with someone from your own household. Apparently Spoons are requiring proof.

I think 6 friends can sit together outside, but couldn't sit inside a pub. I'm not totally sure!

"The general rule is that you cannot meet socially with people who aren’t in your extended household indoors. In addition, as of 14 September, meetings or gatherings indoors even within your extended household must be limited to 6 people (not including any children aged under 11). This applies in places like pubs and restaurants as well as in people’s homes."

"Gatherings of up to 30 people are permitted outdoors. Adults and children should continue to maintain social distancing whenever possible from people outside their household, or extended household if they have formed one."

You could have a drink outside with people not in your extended household, but you would need to sit 2 meters apart.
