Hi my dp has stayed overnight with me in my family home, I am now displaying a tempreture, does he need to leave ASAP or self isolate with us?

Would he be leaving to isolate alone until you get negative test results? In which case he may as well stay and isolate with you.

TTC45 · 22/09/2020 20:09

O his mum, dad, sister and Foster child all live with him.

We have my mum and 2 bros here but my dad's been visiting today as well x

He needs to self isolate with you rather than take it back to 4 others

Looneytune253 · 22/09/2020 20:19

Make him stay with you. It's most contagious in the days leading up to symptoms anyway. I caught it from distanced contact with my dad 36 hours before he became ill. 24 hours later my symptoms started

Mippi · 22/09/2020 20:20

He's been exposed to you so ideally he would stay with you until you get a negative test result.

TTC45 · 22/09/2020 21:17

Okai thanks guys, I'm not sure what's gunna happen, called 111 but mum isn't sure about having Him staying anymore, so now I feel stuck between the medical advice n family!!

Your mum will have to put up with him until you get a negative test result.

TTC45 · 22/09/2020 22:13

Major disagreement, he isn't allowed so, I'm now worried that I'm gunna get in trouble from going against the advice. This is making me feel worse.

If it’s your Mums house then there’s not a lot you can do but she’s being a dick and putting others at risk. Can he go home and isolate in his bedroom and clean the bathroom and stuff after he’s used it?

TTC45 · 22/09/2020 22:32

Yeah that's true, it's not my fault, but God this is all so complex.

Are any of his household in a vulnerable category?

TTC45 · 22/09/2020 22:56

Not AFAIK, his sister is okai, the Foster child is fine I think, his mum and dad are a bit older, and his mum is a key worker (is a school nurse).

Sounds like his Mum should be sensible then. He’ll need to stay in his room pretty much.
