The threat level has gone up to 4. Whitty and Valance were very serious today. Boris will waffle shite tomorrow and confuse everyone. Greater Manchester has had record cases today and we are all in the red zone in GM. At what point will shielding be reintroduced? Ever? I know some can choose to shield themselves without being advised to do so but those of us with young children going to school and having to go to their dad's house (who's in an area with even higher rates than us) don't have many ways to protect ourselves. Are the vulnerable and ECV going to be protected as far as possible or just left to get on with it? I feel powerless with no choices. I was going to pull dc from school but they have to be picked up from there by abusive dad and I have no choice there (thanks judge). I know shielding won't make a different there but it's an extra risk to me. I can just keep to the school run with the little one and we will shower and change and wash school clothes as soon as we get home but I'm already an anxious mess. I hope the ECV will be priority for vaccines like they are flu but who knows. Feeling very despondent and worried tonight.
