£500 self-isolation payment

So - what do we make of that? £500 self-isolation payment, only for the low income. How on earth would that be monitored? What is a low income? For those on benefits only who don't need to go to work to self-isolate? For those on MW who can't go to work and must self-isolate?

Horse seems to have bolted, I fear. Better off closing airports, international flights, aren't we? Confused.

It's for those who work and get top up benefits, I read it in an article the other day. Only eligible if you cannot work from home and will lose income as a result of isolation.

Is there a limit on how many payments you receive? Imagine people with lots of children...
Potentially they could be isolating one after another a few times given all the nasty bugs around at this time of year? It would just be an endless cycle of £500s wouldn’t it?!
Especially now kids are bottom of the pecking order for tests.

Ah, don't you kid yourself. The Tories hand out and taketh away at the same time. They will give it out, then deduct money from their benefits. Job done. Its how the Tories work.
