What app for QR Code at restaurants??

I'm soooooooooooooo confused.

So I've been to a couple of cafes/restaurants and they have the QR Code to scan instead of taking name and address. But I cannot for the life of me work out what app I'm meant to download to use it?? And they couldn't tell me.

I've looked at the NHS Trace and Test app but its only for the Isle of Wight at the moment??

I'm in England.

Anyone can help? It is driving me up the wall!!

Just your camera, on most phones. It’ll see the QR code and then a little pop up comes up that takes you to the page you need.

I’ve no idea why it doesn’t say this near the QR codes, though!

I just use my camera. A link pops up to the menu or form.

I'm never sure but I think you just open the camera

My Samsung already has a QR scanner on the drop down menu, takes seconds to do!

Yup, with my iPhone I use the camera.

If you see a little virtual “box” appear on your screen around the QR code you’ll know the camera has recognised what it is. A message will probably appear at the top of your screen giving you the option of following the web link the QR code wants to direct you to, instead of just taking a photo.

I was MORE impressed than should really admit at our local restaurants having a QR code coaster on each table to scan! Just opened up the camera and a little tan came home to ask if I wanted to open the link. Super clever
