Quick Question re rules

Just looking for a sanity check.

So we had postponed a memorial service for a family member from April to this Saturday.

DS lives in Liverpool which is in the area where they're not allowed to mix households.

I presume that means that he can't visit us in Bucks, so I need to postpone the memorial service yet again (it's a close relative of his and he would definitely wish to attend).

Sounds like a dumb question I'm sure but someone on another thread seemed to imply that the rules only apply within the affected areas, ie DS isn't allowed to visit anyone else in the Liverpool area, so does that mean he could actually come down South?

As Im typing this I realise it's a stupid question, just trying to hang on to a glimmer of hope.

Don't kick me please.

I am not sure - its all so confusing, to me it sounds like he can't mix locally...but maybe its best to post pone the memorial but then that could take ages, maybe wait and see what they say today - and then get the memorial in Saturday, if your ds has not been mixing and feels ok ...

also surely just one person coming from Lpool is OK rather than say huge family units?

Half my family live in neighbouring borough who are on local restrictions which means they can't come to mine where (for now) we are restriction free. So based on that I'd say it's a no. But it's all so bloody confusing.

Yeah I just looked up the rules which were quoted in the Liverpool Echo and it's a no.

Bum, but I guess in the grand scale of things, it's OK.

Thanks for replies :-)
