Did test appointment go through or not?

I hope someone can help me. I've been trying to book a test for my son. Ideally a home test as we don't drive at all and all the walk through places were miles away.
I've been checking constantly and managed to see that a few slots were available at the mobile test centre 10 minutes walk from us for tomorrow. So I quickly tried to book one of those and thought I’d done it. But at the end it took me back to the page that asks where you would like to go.
I never actually got confirmation of the appointment. So does that mean it went through and he has an appointment for tomorrow or not? Did other people get confirmation of the appointment? My mobile number, landline number and email address were all provided.
I don't want to not keep trying to get one if he doesn't have an appointment. But obviously I don't to book another for no reason either.
Thanks

No, you get taken to a new screen if uts been successful with a QR code pass which they scan at the appointment

No...it did this to us a few times. You will get a QR code when it is successful.

@Missmonkeypenny thanks for the quick reply. Tbh I didn't think it had worked but wanted to make sure.

Check with the people on the helpline - ring 119. It may take a few minutes to get through, but they're very helpful. I think it is free from landlines and mobiles.

...and don’t believe the 48hrs to get the result either. We are on 55hrs with no result. Just want to get the kids back to school.

Suspect by the time you'd gone through all spaces were taken. The site is extremely buggy! I'm sorry - so rubbish with kids
